BRONWYN BUCKENROTH
about
A MULTIMEDIA ARTIST
I’m Bronwyn Buckenroth, an artist, animator, and filmmaker. I enjoy drawing, filming, and playing music. I love using all different mediums for art, including watercolor, graphite, acrylic, and digital drawing. I play piano, and also enjoy listening to music. At school, I take part in plays and musicals, along with being a member of the Performing and Visual Arts Society and Gay Straight Alliance.
I am a very open-minded person. When debating with others, I’m always willing to see their side of the argument. When working in a group, I try to accept different thoughts and ideas. I’m also optimistic. If things are going wrong while working on a project, I look at what’s going well to improve what’s bad. If I’m having a bad day, I focus on the good things that happened.
I decided to enroll in the Animation, Film, and Visual Effects class because I was interested in learning about animation and film. Being able to create films and animations, and learning new techniques has been a lot of fun. Learning how to organize my work and budget my time has been very valuable, and can help in any career path I choose.
After high school, I’m going to Sheridan College for film and television. I hope to become a successful filmmaker. While not as stable as a traditional career, becoming a freelance artist would also be welcome. Both careers require the ability to create an idea and flesh it out. I love coming up with ideas, but I still need to work on executing them. Filmmaking also requires working with others. While I enjoy working alone, I also have fun bouncing ideas off of other people, and taking their ideas into consideration. Spending time working on my art and film skills will help me with achieving my dream job.
